!joinfrontpay.com is a different company. We can't cancel it for you, but here's how.

Cancel the $9.99
in four steps.

The FrontPay cash advance membership renews on your payday whether or not you borrow, and their published support channel is email only. This is the shortest reliable path: repay, email, confirm, watch. A copy-paste email and a bank fallback are below.

Before you can
Repay any open advance

Their terms may change; check joinfrontpay.com's FAQ. How the product works

The four steps.

Tick them off as you go; the page remembers on this device.

01

Repay any open advance

An account with a balance won't be closed. Either let the next payday pull clear it, or repay early from the account page so you can cancel today.

  • Check the amount due and the date in your joinfrontpay.com account
  • Make sure the linked bank account can cover it, so the pull doesn't bounce
02

Email the cancellation

From the email address on the account, to their support address, with the subject "Cancel membership". Include your full name and the last four digits of the linked bank account so they can find you without a back-and-forth.

  • Use the template below; it asks for everything in one message
  • Do it at least 3 business days before your next payday
03

Get it in writing

Ask for a confirmation email that states the cancellation date. Keep it. If a charge ever posts again, this is the document that gets it refunded.

  • No reply in 3 business days? Send it again and add "second request" to the subject
  • Screenshot your account page showing the membership as cancelled, if it does
04

Watch the next payday

If $9.99 posts anyway, reply to the confirmation with the date and amount and ask for a refund. If that stalls, your bank can stop it: see the three options below.

  • Set a calendar reminder for the day after your next pay date
  • Delete the bookmark; there's no app to uninstall

The email.
Copy, fill two blanks, send.

Short, specific, and it asks for the confirmation so you don't have to write twice.

  • Send from the address on your joinfrontpay.com account
  • Their published addresses: [email protected] and [email protected] (their site, Oct 2026)
  • Never include your full SSN, bank login or card number

If the charge keeps coming.

You have the right to stop a recurring debit regardless of what the merchant does. Three routes, in order of effort.

Route 1 · the merchant

Reply to your confirmation

Quote the cancellation date, attach the bank line showing the charge, ask for a refund within 5 business days. Most are resolved here.

Route 2 · your bank

Dispute the charge

Call the number on your card or use the app's dispute button. "Recurring charge after cancellation" is a standard reason; your confirmation email is the evidence.

Route 3 · your bank

Revoke the ACH authorization

Tell the bank in writing to stop payments to the merchant. Under Regulation E they must honour it for the next scheduled debit if given 3 business days' notice.

Still stuck? The CFPB complaint portal covers cash advance providers and gets a response in about 15 days.

What to use instead.

Under $100, now and then

An app with no subscription

EarnIn and Chime MyPay charge no monthly fee; Cleo charges $5.99; Dave charges up to $5 plus 5% per advance. All cap out at $500 or below and most still want direct deposit.

$200 or more, once

A loan, with nothing to cancel

FrontPay USA loans are $200–$5,000 from state-licensed lenders, no membership, soft check, and paper-check or gig income counts. You pay the APR on your offer and nothing else.

Cancellation questions

More in the full FAQ.

Can FrontPay USA cancel my FrontPay membership for me?
No. The $9.99 membership is at joinfrontpay.com, a separate company (Populus Financial Group). We have no access to their accounts. This page exists because the two names get mixed up and people email us the request several times a week.
Is there a phone number to cancel?
Not one that joinfrontpay.com publishes, as of October 2026. Their site lists email only. If you'd rather talk to someone, your bank can stop the recurring charge (see step 4), which works regardless.
Do I have to repay an open advance first?
Yes. An advance is collected on your next payday whether or not the membership is active, and most services won't close an account with a balance outstanding. Repay it, then cancel.
Will I be charged again after I cancel?
You shouldn't be, if you cancel before the next payday pull. If a charge lands after your confirmation, reply to the confirmation email with the date and amount and ask for a refund; if that fails, dispute it with your bank using the confirmation as evidence.
I never used an advance but I'm being charged. Why?
The membership renews on your payday after the free trial regardless of whether you borrowed. Cancel by email and, if the charges go back several months, ask for a refund of the unused months in the same email; some companies grant it when asked plainly.
What should I use instead?
If you need under $100 occasionally, an app with no subscription (EarnIn or Chime MyPay) or a lower one (Cleo at $5.99; Dave at up to $5 plus 5% per advance) is usually cheaper. If you need $200 or more, a short-term or installment loan with no membership at all. Apps like FrontPay
