How it works · 4 steps
Three minutes.
Every number first.
The same four steps with every lender in our network: tell us what you need, pass a soft check, read the offer in writing, sign and get funded. You never see a hard inquiry, a fee, or a surprise before you've decided.
Tell us the amount
and your income.
Amount from $200 to $5,000, your state, how you're paid and roughly how much, and the checking account the money should land in. Linking the account verifies your income and bank history electronically, so most people upload nothing.
- No minimum credit score to apply · bad credit loans
- Any regular income counts: wages, gig, benefits, pension · requirements
- Paper checks and cash deposits are fine · no direct deposit needed
We run a soft check.
Your score doesn't move.
A soft inquiry lets lenders see your file without leaving a mark on it. It is invisible to other lenders and has no effect on your score. Lenders in your state look at income, bank history and what you already pay each month, then return offers.
- Soft inquiry only; a hard pull happens only if you accept, and only by that lender
- Multiple lenders can respond; you see every offer side by side
- Not approved? You're told, nothing is reported, and you can try again in 30 days
Read the offer.
All four numbers, in one box.
Amount, APR, monthly payment and total repaid, plus the last payment date and the lender's name. If anything on an offer is missing, we won't show it to you. Compare offers, open the calculator, sleep on it; offers usually stay valid for seven days.
- Decline and nothing is reported or opened
- Any origination fee is already inside the APR and listed separately
- No prepayment penalty with any lender in our network · rates & fees
Sign with the lender.
Money next business day.
You e-sign the contract directly with the lender; that's the moment a hard inquiry may happen. Funds go to the checking account you linked, typically the next business day. Some lenders fund the same day when you sign before noon Central.
- Sign Mon–Fri before noon Central → same day with participating lenders · same-day loans
- Sign after noon, or on a weekend or bank holiday → next business day
- First payment on your next pay date at least 10 days after funding
After the money lands.
FrontPay's part is done at step four; the loan is between you and the lender. Here's what that looks like.
Payments pull automatically
On your pay date, from the funded account. Moving the date is a call to the lender. Payments are reported by most installment lenders, so on-time ones help your credit.
Pay early, pay less
Extra payments or a full payoff any time, with no penalty. Interest is charged on the remaining balance, so early money saves the most. See the schedule
If a month goes wrong
Call the lender before the due date. Every lender in our network signs a responsible lending pledge with a hardship option. Never take a second loan to pay the first.
